How do dental veneers work?
1. Consultation
To begin your dental veneers treatment, we invite you for a comprehensive cosmetic consultation with our specialist Prosthodontists. We discuss the different veneer options available and recommend the best type for your ideal results.
2. Planning
We take digital scans and images of your teeth to help us accurately plan your treatment. A trial smile is created so you can see a preview of your new smile before we begin preparing your teeth for treatment.
3. Preparation
If necessary for your chosen type of veneer, we remove a thin layer of natural enamel from your tooth. We can use local anaesthetic to numb the area so you won’t feel any pain. We take digital impressions of your prepared teeth so your bespoke final veneers can be created, and fit temporary veneers to keep your teeth protected in the meantime.
4. Fitting
When your veneers are ready, we fit them to the front surface of your teeth using high strength dental-safe resin cement. We increase the bond strength between your tooth and veneer with the AquaCare air abrasion system, which uses high pressure particles to create an additional mechanical bond.
5. Results
When your treatment is complete, we make sure you are happy with your new smile and give you some tailored aftercare advice. We offer free whitening with four or more veneers, so this is arranged if applicable. You can then start showing off your new smile!
