Dental Check Up

Our check ups are designed to be comfortable. We use gentle tools and techniques to examine your teeth and gums. While you might feel a slight tickle or discomfort if we need to use suction, it’s nothing to worry about and will be over quickly.

We generally recommend check ups twice a year, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. Your dentist will assess your individual needs and recommend the best approach for you. They’ll let you know when to book your next appointment, and of course, if you experience any problems in between, feel free to call us to book an earlier visit.

During your check-up, your dentist will:

• Gently examine your teeth and gums for signs of decay, gum disease, or other concerns.
• Take X-rays if necessary to get a more complete picture of your oral health.
• Discuss your brushing and flossing habits and offer guidance on improving your home care routine.
• Talk to you about your overall health and lifestyle habits that might affect your oral health.

If you’re feeling nervous, please let us know! We understand dental anxiety is common and want to do all we can to help. We offer a calm and friendly environment and explain each step of the check up beforehand to help you feel more comfortable. We also offer sedation if needed.

If we recommend additional treatment, we will discuss any treatment recommendations with you in detail, explaining the options and answering any questions you have. We won’t pressure you into any treatment and will work with you to find a plan that fits your needs and budget.

A dental check up at Pearl Dental Clinic is from £49. You can pay in full after treatment, or may like to join our practice membership plan and enjoy the many benefits associated with this. It includes regular check ups, hygiene appointments and 10% discount on your general dental treatment.
