Composite Veneers

When are dental veneers used?

Composite veneers are suitable for a variety of situations, such as:

Damaged teeth

Often, composite bonding is the cheapest, quickest, and least biologically expensive way to repair a damaged tooth.

Stained teeth

If teeth whitening has been unsuccessful, composite bonding can be used to cover undesirable stains, white patches, and tooth discolourations.

Misaligned teeth

Composites can also be used to reduce or fully correct the misalignment of crooked teeth.

Closing gaps

Composite veneers can be the ideal choice of treatment in such situations. A tooth gap closure with composites requires no tooth removal.

What is the procedure for getting composite veneers?

  1. After your consultation to assess the suitability of your teeth for composite veneers, we scan your teeth using our 3D iTero digital scanner to create your trial smile.
  2. A wax-up is a process of making the changes to your teeth on a cast model. Based on the shape and design that you wish to have for your veneers and teeth, the dental technician makes veneers out of wax on the cast models of your teeth. We will then copy the lab-designed wax-ups onto your teeth using temporary veneers. This trial smile allows you to see a preview of your veneers before they are properly fitted.
  3. Then the composite veneers are directly added to your teeth, shaped, contoured and polished in a single visit.
  4. To make your composite veneers last even longer, we use AquaCare air abrasion technology to gently blast micron-thick particles of aluminium oxide against your teeth. This creates an additional very strong mechanical bond between your teeth and composite veneers which makes veneer debonding much less likely. This treatment is completely painless and no local anaesthetic shots are required.
