Modern techniques mean cosmetic dentistry procedures no longer have to take as long as they used to, it has been claimed.
Dr Khalil Saghezchi is an oral health professional in San Jose and recently acquired new equipment to make certain treatments faster and more efficient.
He noted how older machinery meant patients getting crowns had to visit a few times because a temporary mould had to be fitted while the permanent fixture was being made.
Now the dentist uses the Cerec AC, which is made by Sirona, to create 3D models of damaged teeth, before designing the restorations with a software programme.
"With this cutting-edge equipment, patients can receive full treatment in a single visit and benefit from a full, healthy smile right away," stated Dr Saghezchi.
Meanwhile, Dr P Tehranian, a dentist from Preston, recently explained why he thought teeth implants were a better option than dentures.
He said they not only look better, but also only take a couple of days to fit.
