An Australian dentist creates a new type of veneer that only takes ninety minutes to fit. Dr. Sigal Jacobson became so frustrated with the process of creating porcelain veneers she decided to invent a new way. Due to her perseverance, she developed a much faster process which has been called Uveneer.
First of all, a composite bonding material is applied to the teeth. A specialised plastic tooth template is then pressed over the composite bonding to form the shape of the tooth. The final part of the procedure uses a LED light to fix the bonding in place. The process has shown proven results and is an exciting development in the cosmetic dentistry industry.
Not only is the process faster, but it is also cheaper and so much easier, saving dentists valuable time. Furthermore, the Uveneer kit makes it possible to achieve a predictable shape and finish with guaranteed symmetry every single time. There is still a patent pending on the kit so it may not be available just yet, however, when it is it could revolutionise the way dentists perform the veneer process for years to come.
