Good Candidates For Teeth Whitening
Unfortunately, not everyone is suitable for teeth whitening. Therefore, we have compiled a checklist to help patients provisionally identify whether they are likely to be accepted or not. If in doubt call us for an examination.
- The teeth should be free from decay or infection. If they are not then do book in for a general appointment so we can treat this problem. Once the teeth are healthy, whitening may be an option.
- The gums must be healthy and free from infection.
- Patients with highly sensitive teeth are unlikely to be good candidates unless the teeth respond to pretreatment of the sensitivity.
- A patient must be in good overall health.
- The enamel of the teeth must be in good condition and not weakened or transparent.
