What does ICON treatment involve?

Initial consultation – we will examine your teeth and determine if you are a good candidate for the ICON dental treatment. We also discuss your goals and expectations for the treatment.

Preparation – we clean the tooth and prepare for treatment. This involves removing any decay or damaged tooth structure and cleaning the tooth thoroughly.

Infiltration – we apply the resin material to the tooth and allow it to infiltrate into the porous, discoloured structure of the tooth. This material is designed to penetrate deeply into the tooth to strengthen it and improve its appearance. We then cure the resin with a special light. This hardens the resin and bonds it to the tooth.

Shaping and polishing – we shape and polish the tooth to improve its appearance and match the surrounding teeth, creating a highly natural-looking restoration. We check your bite and make any necessary adjustments before giving you some aftercare tips and advice.

During your consultation, you will be provided with a full written treatment plan. You can also spread the cost of your ICON treatment interest free over 6-24 months if you wish.
