At Pearl Dental Clinic, We recommend that new patients as well as existing patients visit us for a checkup at least once a year. At your dental checkup visit, our team of experienced dentists, specialists and dental hygienist will take the time to listen to your needs and concerns carefully before we recommend any treatments.
During the check-up, a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and the surrounding tissue will be carried out. Where necessary, we will take digital X-ray’s and intra-oral digital photographs to aid our diagnosis.
If required, we may use our iTero 5D plus digital scanner to take Near-Infrared images of your teeth. This advanced technology detects hidden tooth decay between teeth without using radiation and has the the technology to monitor tooth wear and gum recession over time.
If any treatment is needed we will provide you with our diagnosis and discuss with you the various treatment options that are available. We will not pressure you towards any particular treatment but simply give you the options for you to decide.
At the end of your dental check up appointment, a full written treatment plan will be provided so that you are fully aware of the treatment that you need and the costs involved before we begin. For the sake of transparency, we have published our dental fee guide on our website. Therefore there are no hidden costs. We will discuss with you the likely time span for carrying out the treatment. If you so wish, you can apply for 0% dental finance to spread the cost of your dental treatment without paying any interest.

We recommend that most patients see the dental hygienist on a 6 monthly basis in order to keep their teeth and gums healthy. We believe that prevention is better than cure. By attending regular checkups and hygiene appointments, patients can reduce the need for future dental treatment. If you wish, you can book to see the dental hygienist to follow on from your dental checkup appointment on the same day.
For patients who have not had a recent check-up, we recommend having a check-up before any cosmetic dentistry is carried out. This is to ensure that teeth and gums are healthy.
