What is Zoom WhiteSpeed Teeth whitening?
Zoom teeth whitening is an in-office laser teeth whitening treatment that we use to lighten patients discolored enamel inside the dental clinic.
What causes tooth discoloration?
The most common causes of tooth discolouration include ageing, and the consumption of coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine, curry etc. During tooth formation, consumption of certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discoloration.
Who may benefit from tooth whitening?
We can determine if you are a viable candidate for this procedure through a FREE Zoom Whitening Consultation. At Pearl dental clinic, we have provided teeth whitening for 1000’s of patients since 2007. You can view teeth whitening Before & After photos of our cases.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes. Extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth, under the supervision of a dentist, is safe. However, teeth whitening is not permitted for people under 18 years of age or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
How long do the whitening results last?
To keep your teeth white, we recommend flossing, brushing twice daily and occasional top-up with home whitening gel.
How does the Zoom! WhiteSpeed Teeth Whitening system work?
The Zoom light activated whitening gel’s active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentine and bleaches coloured substances. The structure of the tooth remains unchanged. The Zoom light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. New clinical tests have shown that Zoom Advanced Power whitening system delivers 33% better whitening immediately after the procedure than gel alone, and 44% superior results after 30 days.
How is exposure to the Zoom! light controlled?
The Zoom teeth whitening procedure requires that all soft tissue in and around the mouth be protected. In addition to this, protective eyewear must be worn.
Patients who are light sensitive or taking any light sensitive medications, whether, over the counter, prescription, or homeopathic, should consult their doctor prior to the procedure.
How long does Zoom! WhiteSpeed Teeth Whitening take?
The complete procedure takes just over one hour.
Are there any side effects?
Sensitivity during and after the treatment may occur in some patients. The Zoom light generates minimal heat which is the usual source of discomfort. Rarely, minor tingling sensations are experienced immediately after the procedure but always dissipate. We may also recommend post-treatment sensitivity relief products.
How much does Zoom teeth whitening cost?
