Actor Zach Braff took to the internet to raise funds for his latest project and he revealed in an interview with Late Night host Seth Meyers that he also received some strange requests alongside the investment. The Scrubs star said that one contributor asked him to record a message for the waiting room in his dentist’s office.
In the interview, Zach explained how he was looking for funding for his new film Wish I Was Here, when one provider added that he would like something in return; ‘This one guy was a dentist and wanted me to read a greeting for people in his waiting room. So I did it! Welcome to Dr Shapiro’s office. Hi, I’m Zach Braff; please turn off your cell phone.’
Although Zach was not too enthusiastic about the idea to begin with, he did not want to let his fans down. He explained that he got in touch with Dr Shapiro and said that he was worried about annoying patients with the repetitive message; however, the dentist was adamant, telling the actor ‘I paid good money, I want my dentist’s lobby message.’
He added ‘I was so worried; I don’t wanna lose fans over this. These poor Dr Shapiro patients are gonna be like ‘Oh, shut up.’ It’s on, like, a 30-second loop in his office.’
