A dog owner may require dental implants after being attacked by a gang of youths as she confronted the group when her pet was hit with a stone.
Rosslyn Lee of Hamilton in Lanarkshire is likely to undergo cosmetic dentistry to replace missing teeth which were knocked out when she was hit by a brick thrown by the gang, the Daily Record reports.
After remonstrating with the gang over the lobbed stone, Miss Lee admitted to waking up with a "very fuzzy" memory of the incident.
As well as losing several teeth, she sustained a cut forehead, a detached retina and black eyes.
The case at Hamilton Sheriff Court is ongoing after 22-year-old Daniel Cowden of Hamilton denied the alleged attack.
Witness Martha Thomas told the publication: "I was sitting at the window and my stepson said 'Danny Cowden has just hit a lassie with a brick'."
Miss Lee may opt for dental implants rather than bridges, as dentists have claimed that the former can aid bone structure.
