A weather forecaster from Arkansas in the US has been speaking about how he decided to have cosmetic dentistry in order to get rid of his gappy front teeth.
Jason Adams told 5 News that he had a substantial gap all the way through elementary school and beyond, so recently opted to get it closed.
He opted to have porcelain dental veneers, but was told he would have to wear an elastic device first so they would fit properly.
"The gap did not close completely but it's about half of what it was. The first step of my journey to a gapless smile is complete … The fun begins in the next part though," Mr Adams commented.
In September 2010, American Health and Beauty suggested that anyone with visible gaps in their teeth could benefit from getting dental veneers.
The article pointed out that they are durable, painless and will close up the gaps in seconds.
