The Only Way is Essex is known for its larger than life characters and over the top wardrobe, but cast member Harry Derbridge appears to have taking the beauty regime to new extremes, by receiving Botox injections at the tender age of seventeen. Most people would probably question the need for any kind of surgery whilst still in their teens, but it seems his show-biz lifestyle has come with added pressures.
The youngster, who is thought to be leaving the show before filming for the fourth series begins next year, has undergone several Botox treatments ahead of his pantomime debut at Woking’s New Victoria Theatre this Christmas. It remains to be seen whether his smooth complexion will lend itself to the role of one of Captain Hook’s pirate crew.
A friend of Harry’s spoke to The Mirror about his delight with the results of the treatment, ‘He is really impressed with the way his eyebrows have been lifted and how his wrinkles and frown lines have gone.’
Although the reality star is happy with the outcome, most surgeons would probably agree that he is risking long term damage by having the procedure at such a young age, and the majority of clinics would have turned him away until he was at least eighteen. Harley Street’s Jeya Prakash told The Mirror that Harry could seriously harm his face if he continues with the injections before his body has finished growing completely.
