Teeth implants can change people’s lives, it has been claimed.
Dr Hiroshi Kimura is a New York periodontist and remarked the method can be the ideal option to help those who have damaged or missing teeth.
He explained the procedure can take between six and eight weeks, but patients do not normally have their routine disrupted too much by the treatment.
Dental implants are placed within the jawbone and then crowns are attached once this has bonded with the bone, the oral health professional explained.
"Through dental implants, people regain the comfort and the confidence to eat, speak, smile and ultimately enjoy life," he stated.
