Stress may result in a visit to a London emergency dentistIf people are feeling stressed, they may want to find a way to relax – as it has been suggested being tense could lead to a trip to the emergency dentist.

Chris Leiszler is a dentist in the US. Speaking to the Basehor Sentinel he noted he has at least one patient a week with a broken gnasher as a result of grinding.

The oral health professional explained people tell him about feeling uptight about a number of issues – such as marital problems or job situations.

According to the news provider, broken enamel could become more frequent due to the current economic climate, as everything that comes with it – like job uncertainty – can make people feel more tense.

"It’s possible that stress is doing a number on a person’s teeth – whether it’s clenching and grinding teeth during the day, or subconsciously when asleep at night," the website asserted.

People who are worried they may be grinding their teeth at night could look for a way to unwind before bedtime.

Avoiding caffeine in the evening or dabbing lavender oil on a pillow could help with this.ADNFCR-2621-ID-19398165-ADNFCR
