Comedian Stephen Fry is well-known for his constant Tweeting, and just like the rest of the Twitter nation, he takes to the social-networking site to post his views about everything from politics to his dental treatment. Never shy about speaking his mind, the 54-year-old is one of the most popular users on Twitter, with over 100,000 followers reading his every Tweet.
After an initial consultation, the British actor was told he would need a triple dental crown fitting, as a temporary restoration, and then he was booked in for another appointment some time next week, to have the permanent replacement fitted. Stephen was not looking forward to his surgery, telling his Twitter followers on Friday morning; ‘Hell’s teeth & a bucket of blood. 3 hour session at the dentist coming up. There isn’t enough Xanax (anti-anxiety drug) in the world to prepare for this.’
After his nervous tweets, it appeared that the Blackadder Goes Forth star was pleasantly surprised by the outcome, as he updated fans on his progress; ‘Well that went better than expected.’ He posted, adding; ‘Temporary triple crown fitted on bottom row. Real ones installed next week.’ Stephen also joked that he was so comfortable during the operation, that he ‘Actually fell asleep’ in the dentist’s chair. Let’s hope his follow-up appointment runs just as smoothly, it’s obvious that the Twitter addict will let us know, either way.
