New parents Chantelle Houghton and Alex Reid have taken some time off from parenting duties, but it’s not to go out drinking or on a romantic break, it’s for a trip to the dentist to repair Chantelle’s veneers. Four weeks after the birth of their daughter – who has yet to be given a name – the couple headed out for a second appointment to get the new mum’s porcelain veneers replaced at the London Smile Clinic in Fitzrovia, Central London.
This is the second time in a week that the pair have been spotted at the clinic, which provides general and cosmetic dental work, and the reality stars didn’t seem to enthusiastic about being joined by the paparazzi; Chantelle covered her mouth with her phone and refused to smile for the waiting cameras as she entered the surgery.
Chantelle spoke to New! Magazine about her upcoming treatment, saying she is expecting to have a tooth extracted and a new set of veneers fitted. ‘It’s something I’ve planned for a while, but obviously you can’t have it done while you’re pregnant’ she told the magazine. It seems that the timing couldn’t have been better, as Chantelle’s mum stopped by to look after the one month old, giving the couple some free time to spend together; ‘While we were in town and my mum was at home looking after the baby, Alex suggested we got to Selfridges for a look around and a celebratory drink.’
