A man was left needing cosmetic dentistry after being involved in a fight during which his two front teeth were effectively snapped off.
Nicholas Alexander Crosby and Chris Hamilton had been bantering with one another about their different accents during a night out in Carlisle in July last year, the News and Star reports.
However, the joking turned sour and Mr Crosby grabbed Mr Hamilton at both sides of his face before punching him to the ground.
The victim's teeth were knocked out, leaving just stumps in his mouth and his attacker was later arrested.
Mr Crosby has now been ordered to pay compensation of £1,200 to cover the cosmetic dentistry treatment Mr Hamilton will need, as well as carrying out community service.
This comes after an attack last month in which a train driver was left needing emergency dentistry when a passenger punched him in the mouth during a dispute about a ticket.
