Even on her worst days, Hollywood star Kate Beckinsale probably looks better than most people but the mother-of-one couldn’t hide her discomfort after leaving a dental clinic following treatment on Tuesday evening this week. The 39-year-old looked swollen and deflated as her director husband Len Wiseman drove her home from the Beverly Hills surgery in California.
Kate covered her face with sunglasses as she exited the clinic, exhibiting a swollen face after her trip to the dentist and also a plaster on her right hand. It’s not clear what sort of surgery Kate underwent during her visit but she seemed to be struggling to move her mouth and was photographed carrying a bag from the clinic, presumably containing aftercare materials.
Given her acting pedigree and the recent action roles she has been preparing for, it seems certain that Kate will bounce back from her dental surgery and be back to her best in no time; she has recently made a name for herself as one of Hollywood’s leading female heroines, with roles in Total Recall and the lead in the vampire film series Underworld. The actress recently revealed that this was the last thing she expected from her career, saying ‘I really didn’t grow up thinking I would do that, but I suppose I am a bit of a pro now.’
