Channel Four’s reality show The Jump has had more than its fair share of accidents this year and several celebrities have already pulled out due to injury; now they can add rugby player Ben Cohen to the list of jumpers who have experienced injuries during training for the dangerous show.

Former England rugby player Ben said that something went wrong during training and he ended up crashing into a protective pad and losing several teeth, as well as requiring stitches. Ben posted a picture of himself on Twitter showing a swollen, bloody lip after he received treatment for his injuries. He added the caption ‘Morning!! Back skiing today after my accident. 20 stitches and 2 lost teeth.’

Explaining further, the 37-year-old said that he ‘had a collision’ whilst training for the big jump and this resulted in the mouth injury. He added ‘I’ve spent my entire career taking knocks so this is nothing new for me’ and said that he would not let the accident stop him from taking part in the semi-finals of the reality show. He said that he only needed a couple of days to recover from his injuries before getting back to his training. Ben added that he is hoping to get to the final and win the coveted cowbell trophy.
