An expert horse rider had to have emergency dentistry recently after she tripped and fell ahead of a big competition.
Emma Sheardown was set to compete at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky on October 9th 2010, but had an accident en route to a press conference and broke both her front teeth, the Grantham Journal reports.
Luckily, she managed to track down someone who could perform emergency dentistry in a hurry and the teeth were cemented back in.
Ms Sheardown was back in the saddle in time to compete and even won a gold medal for Britain.
"I am very happy with that performance and to get the gold is so exciting," she commented.
Actress Hilary Duff also recently had an accident that required emergency dentistry, although hers occurred on the morning of her wedding day.
Fortunately, her wedding planner managed to get her to a dentist to have the chipped tooth fixed and spare her blushes.
