Brighouse dentists on a mission to help the homeless have been out in force over the past few months. The project has run in various places in West Yorkshire. Their most recent campaign has seen them team up with local homeless charity Focus4Hope to offer dental advice, treatment, and supplies to those most vulnerable. The mobile bus pitched up in Leeds and assisted many homeless people needing dental care and supplies.

Their newest campaign centers on raising awareness of the growing number of rough sleepers around the country. This is due to figures increasing for the seventh year in a row. Rachel Dilley, Practice Manager at Town Hall Dental spoke about her thoughts on why the project is so important. “One of the things that is so often overlooked is basic dignity. Simple hygiene products, wet wipes, the ability to brush their teeth, these are certainly all things that can help someone feel loved and part of society again, and it’s an essential part of getting people housed and back to work.”
