The pearly-white smiles of this year’s X Factor finalists are all thanks to dental veneers and tooth whitening treatments, it has been revealed.
Writing for the Guardian, Deborah Orr claims that "you have to laugh" at the fact that all of this year’s X Factor contestants have been treated to emergency dentistry in order to brighten their on-screen grins.
She reveals that she initially did not realise that they had been given tooth whitening treatments and dental veneers ahead of the live shows.
As a result, on watching the first weeks of the finals, she adds that the eye-catching smiles on show were more attention-grabbing than some of the controversy that has made headlines in the press.
However, it is not only the contestants for whom emergency dentistry has been on the cards.
Days ago, it was revealed that Simon Cowell has been encouraging fellow judge and mentor Louis Walsh to consider teeth whitening in order to look his best for viewers of the high-definition broadcasts of the show.
