People with uneven teeth may wish to have dental veneers fitted, according to an expert.
Dental surgeon Dr Roshni Ahuja explained to the Times of India that it all depends on the amount of damage that has been done to the teeth.
According to the healthcare professional, dental veneers will usually be put in if a person has uneven teeth, gaps between each tooth or a chip somewhere.
However, she said teeth damaged by cavities may have a crown or root-cap put on them.
Dr Ahuja noted that there is no great gender divide when it comes to such procedures, saying: “There is not much disparity in male to female clientele ratio opting for cosmetic dental treatments.”
Recently, Roger Levin suggested on Dentistry HQ that the decision to get dental veneers is an emotional one for a patient rather than a needs-based choice, so healthcare professionals must be sure to offer plenty of information about the procedure.
