People missing teeth could turn to dental implants.
The use of dental implants could be the perfect solution for someone who has lost a tooth, it has been claimed.
New York periodontist Dr Hiroshi Kimura said the devices can offer a permanent solution to tooth loss and the prosthetic that is attached can be treated and maintained just as a person would one of their own teeth.
He commented: “Through dental implants, people regain the comfort and the confidence to eat, speak, smile and ultimately enjoy life.”
Dr Kimura added dental implants are “changing the way people live”.
Elsewhere, Dr Mitchell A Josephs recently wrote in a blog post for the Palm Beach Post that the use of dental implants for individuals who have lost a tooth can help them maintain stronger teeth in the future.
He claimed by installing a dental implant into the space left by a lost tooth, it can strengthen the jawbone in that area and stop gums from receding.
