Dental implants have been praised for their ability to improve the smile of a patient while also blending in.
Speaking to lifestyle portal Wonder Woman, Dr Anjana Satyajit said dental implants – which are artificial tooth roots that work instead of a bridge – can also help people whose teeth are misaligned.
"The best part is that dental implants look and feel as good as natural teeth and are also durable," she pointed out.
Dr Satyajit added that such procedures are usually successful and result in little or no complications, although they will take between three and nine months to have fitted.
Earlier this month, dental patient John DeSanto – who recently had dental implants – told PennLive.com that the two teeth he had replaced are stronger than the rest of his jaw.
He explained that he has encountered no problems whatsoever and is able to eat, drink and brush as much as he likes without difficulty.
