People who need to have teeth replaced should opt for dental implants over dentures, because they are vastly superior.
This is according to US dentist Dr Yoli DiGiulio, who said they have "revolutionised" the world of oral health, such is their impact on patients.
She pointed out that because dental implants are anchored into the jaw bone and encourage new bone and tissue to grow around them, they will not click and threaten to slip out as dentures would.
Dr DiGiulio also said they will look better, as they fit the patient's face more accurately and look like natural teeth.
"A well placed implant can last a lifetime and provide the self confidence and smile you've always wanted," the expert commented.
Last month, Dr Caseldine from Arizona told ABC15.com that implants are one of the most significant advances in cosmetic dentistry over the last 25 years, also insisting they are better than old-fashioned false teeth.
