More people are likely to have dental implants fitted next year.
The uptake of dental implants is set to gather pace in 2010, according to the Consumer Guide to Dentistry.
The publication noted that next year will see an increase in both the variety and affordability of the procedure, as the techniques for manufacturing and fitting the devices become more refined.
Furthermore, the report claimed 2010 will likely see greater competition for treatments like Invisalign braces, as alternative products reach the marketplace.
In addition, the introduction of more cancer screening will hopefully help to further cut fatalities caused by this disease.
Elsewhere, the Daily Mail recently reported 36-year-old Steve Hornby recently regained his smile after receiving dental implants.
He lost two of his front teeth 15 years ago in a car accident and has been living with crowns ever since. However, they kept falling out and causing problems so he recently bit the bullet and underwent cosmetic dentistry to have dental implants installed.
