A soft nightguard is a custom-made dental appliance designed to be worn while you sleep. This protective device is designed to comfortably fit over your teeth, and acts as a protective cushion to absorb the forces created by your upper and lower teeth when they come in contact with one another during grinding or clenching at night.

When you are grinding or clenching your teeth at night, the soft night guard absorbs the majority of the force and pressure that would normally be transferred to your teeth, dental work, and jaw joint (TMJ). In addition to being professional grade and custom created for your mouth, a soft nightguard provides a far more comfortable fit than one that you would buy off–the–shelf. 3. Fabrication

Your custom soft nightguard is carefully made by our dental technicians over the next few days.

4. Fitting Appointment

We check the fit, comfort and bite to ensure the appliance works correctly. The process is quick, simple and completely painless.

How do I look after my Soft Nightguard?

Looking after your appliance is simple:

• Rinse it with cold water after use
• Clean it gently with a toothbrush.
• You should soak your nightguard every few days in a solution of Retainer Brite to keep your nightguard clean.
• Store it in its protective case
• Avoid hot water which may distort the material
• Bring it to your dental appointments for review

Good maintenance helps maximise comfort, hygiene and longevity.
