Advances in cosmetic dentistry mean teeth can be made to look beautiful without necessarily needing complex treatments, it has been claimed.
New developments in cosmetic dentistry and technologies mean that even those plagued with sensitive teeth can enjoy a whitened and brilliantly straight smile, television show the Balancing Act reports.
Dr Timothy Chase from SmilesNY, a cosmetic dentist practice in New York, speaking on the American breakfast TV programme, encouraged patients to seek simple non-invasive treatments before jumping into the deep end of cosmetic dentistry.
“New developments allow more comfortable whitening and tooth alignment for people with sensitive or highly rotated teeth,” he said, adding it is important to educate individuals on their oral wellbeing.
Dr Chase’s comments came after Dr Sholina Kherani recently noted in a Seaway News article that there is no excuse for a bad smile and promoted the idea of patients opting for implants instead of dentures as they get older.
