People who suffer from diastema, or gaps in their teeth, could benefit from new developments in cosmetic dentistry.
Although there is a growing number of celebrities and public figures who have gaps in their teeth, ranging from Lauren Hutton to Condoleeza Rice, Top Wire XS noted that many people are still upset by theirs.
A solution for the problem was suggested by Dr. Jonathan Zamzok, an implant dentist at the Specialized Dentistry of New York, who said that dental veneers and composite bonding could be used to tackle the problem.
"Cosmetic bonding is used to fill smaller gaps and porcelain veneers are used to close larger gaps," the article explained, adding that in rare cases teeth will have to be moved.
Dental veneers were recently promoted by News Max, which explained that as they are thin and match the colour of the surrounding teeth, they require very little dental reshaping, as well as being created to be permanent.
