Cesc Fabregas has had his wisdom teeth removed in a bid to help him beat a hamstring injury, it has been claimed.
The Arsenal Football Club captain has not played a first team game since November 2009 due to problems with damage to his leg and some sources have claimed that he has had emergency dentistry as part of his treatment.
Club alumnus Tony Adams is believed to have had the same procedure, resulting in the nerve healing, with some experts believing that the nerves in the third molars and the hamstring are somehow connected.
A friend of the player told the Guardian that he has seen a dentist to have his wisdom teeth removed, but denied it was anything to do with his previous injury.
“This was purely for dental reasons and not related to his hamstrings,” the source added.
Not all wisdom teeth are impacted and have to be removed, but some can cause problems and patients may have to see an expert to have them taken out.
