A healthcare professional has suggested there are all kinds of people who are currently deciding to get cosmetic dentistry.
Speaking to the Times of India, cosmetic dentist Dr Sunita Vhatkar pointed out that having a nice smile helps to boost self-esteem and often makes people more confident.
She suggested that having discoloured or damaged teeth can tarnish a person’s image, while correcting such issues is capable of making an individual look younger.
“Today, everyone is very conscious about their looks. Both the young and old, men and women go for a complete smile makeover,” Dr Vhatkar was quoted as saying.
Implantologist Dr Shreyank Patel told the news provider that such operations may previously have been dominated by actors and models, but ordinary professionals are now doing the same.
Last week, Perfect Wedding magazine claimed brides-to-be will often have cosmetic dentistry procedures carried out, since it allows them to look their best on the big day.
