Footballers wife and TV personality Abbey Clancy was on top of the world after taking home the famous glitter-ball trophy, naming her the winner of the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, but her celebrations were put on hold as she suffered a dental accident. The 28-year-old was slightly over-enthusiastic after her victory and managed to chip her tooth on the trophy itself; Abbey made a speedy trip to the emergency dentist to have the damage repaired.
The mother-of-one dashed to Liverpool Dental Spa to have the tooth repaired before she begins the Strictly live tour. Debbie McGovern, who works at the Spa, told The Mirror ‘She actually broke it on the glitter-ball. She was laughing when she came to see us because she said she just bit the trophy and her front tooth cracked in half.’ Speaking about the treatment, Debbie explained that ‘we just moulded a filler the exact same shade as her own teeth and sculpted it to the shape of the missing piece.’
Fortunately, the treatment was a success and Abbey’s teeth were restored to their former glory; she happily tweeted to followers about the treatment, saying ‘thank u for fixing my chipped front tooth, promise I wont try eat my glitterball again haha x’
