When you have a dental emergency or a sudden toothache, you don’t want to wait for days or weeks to see a dentist. Fortunately, our walk-in dentist service provides a convenient solution to such dental emergencies.
A walk-in dentist is an emergency dentist who offers immediate dental care without requiring an appointment.
Our Walk-in dentist service operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Patients simply walk into the clinic and ask our reception team for the next available appointment on that day. The reception team will ask you to fill some forms online. We will do our best for you to see the emergency dentist on a same day basis. Occasionally, on very busy days, you may have to be seen by the dentist on the next day.
The benefits of using the walk-in dentist include:
Our dentists can handle a variety of dental emergencies, including:
To prepare for a visit to our dental clinic, patients should gather their dental insurance information, if they have it, and bring with them any relevant medical history. Patients should also be prepared to discuss their symptoms and any recent dental procedures they have had.
Our dentists may perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, to determine the best course of treatment. Once a treatment plan and consent has been established, the dentist will begin active treatment.
We charge the same for walk-in patients as our regular patients. Emergency consultation costs £49 and small x-rays cost £20 each. Our full and up to date dental fee guide is published online. Please be aware that we are a fully private dental clinic and do not provide any NHS dental care.
The drawbacks of using the walk-in dental service may include longer waiting times and that you may have to come back for certain treatments. We reserve the right to refuse to see patients, if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or acting in an uncooperative, aggressive or rude manner towards our patients or staff.
Common procedures performed by our dentists may include tooth extractions, tooth fillings, root canals, and treatment for gum disease.
In the event of a dental emergency, patients can take several steps to manage their symptoms and reduce pain. These may include applying a cold compress to the affected area, taking over-the-counter pain medication, and avoiding hot or cold foods and drinks.
The walk-in dental clinic is open on weekends and bank holidays between 9am-10pm. The latest time for walk-in admissions is 9pm.
Waiting times at our walk-in dental service may vary depending on the clinic’s schedule and the severity of the patient’s dental emergency. Patients can typically expect to wait between 1-4 hours. To avoid any waiting, you can book a dental appointment online or give us a call to book a scheduled appointment.
