How Do Implant Dentures Work?
The process involves placing several dental implants into the jawbone. After a healing period, a custom-made denture is attached to the implants using specialised connectors.
Depending on your needs, implant dentures may be:
- Removable (snap-on dentures) – Easily removed for cleaning at night while remaining secure during daily activities.
- Fixed implant dentures – Permanently attached and only removable by a dentist.
The number of implants required varies from patient to patient, but many full arch cases can be supported with as few as four implants.
