Visiting your dentist could save your life, as oral cancer rates are at an all-time high. Dentists are trained to look for signs of cancers and have been praised for saving lives by early identification. Therefore, it is extremely important to keep up to date with dental check ups.
This week starts the beginning of Mouth Cancer Action Month. The campaign runs throughout November and aims to raise awareness of the symptoms of oral cancers. One clinic in Warickshire is supporting M.C.A.M by offering free examinations to check for signs of oral cancer. A representative from the clinic spoke to the Rugby Advertiser. “Through our initiative, we want to spread awareness of mouth cancer, its causes, the signs and symptoms and the role your dentist can play in helping to catch the disease early enough to beat it.”
