Troubled actor Charlie Sheen has denied attacking his dentist with a knife before a dental operation and claims that the incident was caused by a ‘bad reaction’ to the application of nitrous oxide. Speaking to MailOnline, a representative for Charlie, Jeff Ballard, explained that the actor reacted to the laughing gas after the mask was fitted but maintained that there was no knife involved.

Mr Ballard also added that ‘there were no illegal drugs involved as well.’ Following the alleged incident, Mr Ballard said that ‘no one from the LAPD has contacted Charlie or his dentist.’

Gossip website TMZ had previously claimed that Sheen was under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly pulling a knife on his dentist after the technician attempted to place a nitrous oxide mask over his face. No injuries were sustained by either party, according to the website.

The actor has had further troubles recently after production of his TV series Anger Management was shut down due to a chin injury; Sheen’s rep said that he suffered an accident after diving into the shallow end of his pool while playing with his dog.
