An emergency dentistry specialist from Essex has travelled to South America to help give youngsters in Peru some practical tips on dental care, thereby reducing the need for cosmetic dentistry further down the line.
This is Surrey Today reports that Abinger dental nurse Sally-Ann Babister recently visited the Apurimac region – home to around 50,000 people cared for by just two dentists – as part of an initiative organised by Dental Project Peru.

Miss Babister, along with a Peruvian dentist and a translator, took a trip to a local school to demonstrate to pupils how best to brush their teeth and reduce the likelihood of requiring teeth implants in the future.
