Using a timer could help children to perfect their emergency dentistry regime.
This is according to lifestyle writer Kim Patterson of Investor Spot, who said she has a preschool-age daughter who gets easily distracted when she is brushing her teeth, no matter how often her parents warn her about germs.
She added that she is going to try InteliTEC's Wash and Brush Timer, which encourages children to perform actions such as brushing and hand-washing for an appropriate length of time, with flashing lights indicating when it is time to stop.
Md Patterson said: "She definitely enjoys flashing lights and pushing buttons so that may offer enough incentive."
In January 2011, Dr Matt Hansen, a dentist in the US, told KIMT.com that it is not a good idea to swap tap water for mineral water for children, as this will mean they miss out on essential fluoride needed to strengthen their teeth.
