Sedation Drugs

Here at the clinic, we offer two types of IV sedation drugs. First of all, there is the single drug midazolam sedation. This is administered and overseen by a highly trained and experienced sedation dentist. Alternatively, there is a deeper form of sedation. While both options work very effectively, more anxious patients may find that multi-drug deep sedation is more appropriate. Deep sedation is always delivered by a qualified and highly skilled medical professional.

Both options are administered via an intravenous needle, usually into the back of the hand. The IV sedative will work almost immediately and patients will feel carefree, sleepy, and unaware of the treatment taking place. Recovery time after sedation is around twenty minutes. However, patients will need a trusted adult to accompany them home afterward as they will not be able to drive.
