Missing teeth can cause individuals to feel self-conscious, anxious, or less attractive, especially if they are at the front of the mouth. There are various ways to deal with the issue of missing front teeth. One of which is a front teeth bridge/dental bridge. A dental bridge does exactly as the name suggests. It bridges the gap between remaining teeth to give the appearance of a full smile. Other options for tooth loss include dentures and dental implants.
Front Teeth Bridge
Here at Pearl Dental Clinic, we can offer a variety of different bridges to suit different needs:
- A conventional bridge – This is fixed to the neighbouring teeth in the same way a crown would be. The teeth either side of the gap are drilled down and the bridge is adhered to them. A conventional bridge lasts around 10-15 years.
- Maryland bridge (adhesive bridge) – is different to the conventional bridge because it does not require as much, if any, preparation to the neighbouring teeth. Maryland dental bridges are generally cheaper. However, the lifespan of this bridge is usually around 5-10 years.
- Cantilever bridge – This option only requires one tooth to be prepared for the bridge to be attached to. This option is also often cheaper than a conventional bridge. The downside to this option is that you may need to be more considerate of what you are eating, as chewing hard or sticky foods could dislodge or break the bridge.
Prices for our dental bridge range start from £500 per unit and are developed and fitted by our highly trained dental practitioners. The cost of a bridge consultation is only £49. Why not see how we can restore your smile and your confidence today?
