Miss Universe advocates for good dental hygiene
The new Miss Universe advocates for good dental hygiene.
French dental trainee, Iris Mittenaere, has been crowned two thousand and sixteen’s Miss Universe. The Twenty-four-year-old dental student from Paris won the coveted accolade ahead of eighty-five others contestants. Ms Mittenaere, therefore, becomes the second French woman ever to win. The Philippines was host to yesterday’s final for the third time in the competition’s history.
The aspiring dentist was thrilled to win the title. However, she has remained grounded towards her new found responsibilities. She hopes to use her new position to promote good dental hygiene amongst the public. Ms Mittenaere outlined her goals from the start and spoke of her intentions to promote healthy teeth. She hopes to help educate people in general, but most of all on the importance of looking after teeth and gums.
Teeth featured heavily in the pageant, with contestants grinning from ear to ear in an attempt to win the prestigious trophy, however one smile won through over them all. Following the announcement, Ms Mittenaere spoke in her victory conference, “I want to help people, I want to understand people, I want to meet people, that’s why this is a dream for me.”
