For the process to work correctly it is important that patients wear their Invisalign aligner for 20-22 hours, every day. This will achieve the best results in the shortest time possible. The aligner should only be removed to eat, drink, and brush the teeth. Patients must then reinsert it as soon as possible.
During the Invisalign process, our dentists will provide you with a new set of aligners every 6-8 weeks to gently and gradually guide your teeth into a straight position.
The Invisalign process will usually take between 7-12 months, however, some people could complete in as little as three months. This will depend on the severity of the misalignment. Fixed braces usually require 18-24 months to complete the treatment, therefore, Invisalign is a much faster, and more discreet option.
After the initial consultation and examination, our dentists will take 3D iTero digital scans of your teeth. They will also take a number of photographs of your smile from a series of different angles.
Using this data, a 3D model (Clincheck) is created at the Invisalign laboratory in the USA using CT scanners. The Clincheck videos will show a simulation of the straightening process from their current position to the desired result. You will also see a detailed plan for your Invisalign treatment.
Once you approve your Clincheck videos, custom-made Invisalign aligners will be constructed to match the plan. You will visit us initially for first fitting and then every six weeks for monitoring and new aligners. In addition, we will provide you with instructions on how to use the aligners correctly.
