Shaun Ryder has said that his new teeth cost him somewhere in the region of £25,000.
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant revealed that years of drug abuse during his time with The Happy Mondays created a dental disaster, with his pearly whites turning into brown stumps, Now magazine reports.
He decided to have them fixed before going into the jungle as part of the reality TV show and spent £25,000 having dental veneers and a range of other procedures.
Ryder recently told the Guardian his new teeth are made from the same substance that is used to stick “the tiles on the space shuttle”.
However, would-be patients may be pleased to know that not all of them cost quite as much as Ryder’s.
