Sedation For Tooth Extraction
Dental sedation can be used for straightforward extractions or extractions that are seen as more complicated. We offer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) for a mild form of sedative. This is helpful to take the edge off dental treatment. However, if patients would prefer a deeper sedation then IV sedative is available. This is administered by trained professionals.
Before IV sedation can take place a patient will be assessed for suitability and medical records will be consulted if necessary. This is to ensure safe practice and avoid complications arising. The clinic also offers dental hypnotherapy as an alternative to sedation medication.
