Invisalign Lite is carried out using the same technology as traditional Invisalign Comprehensive treatment, but it is used to improve minor issues such as mildly crowded teeth. Patients who select Invisalign Lite are able to enjoy cost effective treatment using aesthetically discreet Invisalign aligners which can improve the alignment of misaligned teeth. Invisalign Lite treatment is also ideal for those patients that had braces earlier in life but have had relapse afterwards due to not wearing retainers.

These custom-made aligners are an increasingly popular orthodontic treatment for people with teeth alignment issues, as the removable fixtures are able to be removed for eating and teeth cleaning. Although they are able to be removed, it is recommended that patients ensure they wear the aligners for around 22 hours per day to ensure they are able to enjoy the results over a shorter period of time.
As part of the Invisalign Lite system, a maximum of fourteen aligners will be produced by Invisalign to correct minor alignment problems. Invisalign Comprehensive treatment however can have an unlimited number of aligners as required to straighten more complex alignment cases. This means that Invisalign Lite treatment is suitable for minor cases and Invisalign Moderate (15-20 Invisalign aligners) is suitable for more moderate teeth crowding cases. Invisalign Comprehensive is more suitable for more complex cases that require 21 or more Invisalign aligners.

If your teeth are suitable for Invisalign, we will take iTero 5D digital scans of your teeth which will be sent to the Invisalign dental laboratory in America so that Invisalign Clincheck videos can be created. Invisalign Clincheck is the software that shows patients a preview of the results possible with Invisalign using before and after videos and also gives exact details about the treatment planned.
Once you confirm that you are happy with your Invisalign Clincheck plan, then Invisalign start constructing the Invisalign aligners. Once the Invisalign Lite aligners are fitted, we will then need to see you every 6-8 weeks throughout the Invisalign process to monitor the progress of your treatment and carry out any adjustments necessary.
