What does the Six month Smiles treatment involve?
The six months smile programme uses advanced technology to move teeth in a manner that is both quick and safe, focusing on moving the teeth that show during a smile, rather than making every single tooth in the mouth straight. Specialised white nickel titanium wires are used to carry out the procedure.
Our cosmetic dentists will begin the treatment by conducting thorough checks on the teeth, using an extensive range of X-rays, teeth impressions and photographs to make sure the teeth being moved are all clinically sound and ready for movement.

Once your records are sent to America, the Six month smiles lab technicians there go ahead and custom manufacture all of the brackets and braces needed for your treatment. Following manufacture, patients will be fitted with their six month smiles aesthetic braces at Pearl dental clinic by one of our experienced cosmetic dentists.
If teeth crowding exists, our dentists will remove very small amounts of enamel from in-between your teeth where overcrowding occurs to create space. This removal of small amounts of enamel is called IPR (Inter-proximal reduction) and this process is painless and does need tooth injections. Patients with more severe teeth crowding problems may have to have a tooth removed to ensure optimum results.
After the fitting, patients will be asked to make appointments with our dentists once every month to allow the brace to be adjusted and monitored in a bid to move the teeth into their ideal position.
Will the Six month braces treatment hurt?
Similarly to other forms of braces, patients could feel some discomfort when the brace is initially installed. The gentle force used to correct the smile means the teeth are able to move slowly, which is unlikely to cause any severe pain for patients.
