The patient below presented with a missing upper left front incisor. She wanted her smile restored as soon as possible. Adhesive maryland tooth bridges do not require any tooth reduction of the neighbouring teeth and are carried out without any dental injections. We restored her smile with a maryland tooth bridge. Maryland dental bridges have a survival rate of around 80% over 10 years. Even if the adhesive bridge debonds after a few years, it can be very easily and quickly recemented.
The photos below, show the case of a patient who presented to us to have her genetically missing teeth replaced with adhesive bridges. We replaced her with two missing lateral incisors with two no tooth drilling belleglass fiber reinforced adhesive bridges.
The patient below was not happy with the colour and shape of her two upper front crowns and did not wish to have a gap between her upper front teeth. We replaced those old crowns with aesthetic Emax Ceramic Crowns and closed the gap between her upper front two teeth. The post-op photo was taken immediately after the new ceramic crowns were fitted, the colour of the gums will improve after a couple of weeks.
This patient below used to have a gold front tooth but this was replaced by his dentist with a ceramic crown some years ago. The patient wanted to go back to having a gold tooth. We replaced the ceramic crown with a gold crown over two visits. Crowns involve significant irreversible tooth reduction. We would not crown a virgin (untouched) tooth as it would cause significant damage to the tooth. However in this case, it involved changing one crown with another without doing any further tooth reduction. Gold crowns have a long lifespan and with good aftercare can last over 10 years.
The case below is with the discloured front crown changing to the full porcelain crown with excellent color matching with rest of the front teeth. Patient was very pleased with the result.
