Television personalities could be raising the profile of cosmetic dentistry, if the results of one survey are anything to go by.
Users of TheWealthyDentist blog were asked what they thought about oral health professionals who star on TV shows.
They could vote whether or not they believed they were good for the business as a whole.
Some 62 per cent of respondents said the television personalities were good for the sector.
"Most feel that media exposure only makes the public more aware of what a cosmetic dentist can offer," explained the online resource.
If media coverage has encouraged people in London to consider getting a treatment – perhaps teeth implants or whitening – they might like to take note of the following advice.
Preston practice Lifestyle Dental suggested individuals should ask an oral health professional about any part of a procedure that concerns them before getting it done.
The owners of the facility also recommended patients inform their dentist if they feel any discomfort at any time.
